I am skilled in translation, proofreading, foreign languages and editing.

As a strong professional with an M.A. in Linguistics and Social Anthropology as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Translation and Interpreting (distinction) I enjoy researching the respective subject matters and have a passion for a creative use of language.

I am an accredited member of the South African Translators' Institute (SATI), member of VdÜ (German Association of German Literary Translators) and winner of the FOLIO Award 2012 and Kommunico Prize 2012.

Postamble is a biannual magazine published by the University of Cape Town. It is a peer-reviewed graduate student journal with a focus on the multidisciplinary study of Africa.

As a German Online Editor I provided European clients with high standard creative texts for targeted marketing of their products.

English Tutor, Stellenbosch

As a tutor for the English Department of Stellenbosch University I taught first year students in English Literature. Besides imparting knowledge on various kind of texts (i.e. short stories, advertisement, novels, poetry) I familiarized my students with the skills of academic essay writing including structure, argumentation and correct referencing.
